Trading Standards - Explosives Registration

Explosives must not be stored unless the premises are registered with the local authority. Premises can only be registered on the application of the occupier.
Where different premises adjoin each other and are occupied together they are deemed to be one set of premises and cannot be separately registered.
Note that fireworks, safety ammunition, cartridges for car air-bags, nail guns, sparklers and caps are all classed as explosives and all require registration.
All registrations are renewable from 1st October each year and they are not transferable from one person to another.
