Carers - How can I find out more?

To find out more, you can either:   

• contact Customer Services at your local Cumbria County Council Adult Social Care and Children's Services office;
• speak to your social worker or occupational therapist (if you have one); or 
• contact your local Carers Association (for details of these, contact your local Cumbria County Council Adult Social Care and Children's Services office).                     

If you (or the person for whom you care) do not currently have a social worker, you can contact our Customer Services staff at your local Cumbria County Council Adult Social Care and Children's Services office.   

If you are a carer (see ‘Who can get help?’), Customer Services will ask you for some details about yourself and the person for whom you care and will arrange for a social worker to visit you.   

If you (or the person for whom you care) already have a social worker or occupational therapist, you could ask them instead.
