Meet the Knowledge Management Team

There are 6 members of the Knowledge Management Team:

  • Catherine Beverley, Business Manager - Knowledge Management (1 WTE) 
  • Louise Bell, Research and Information Officer (1 WTE) [currently on a part-time secondment]   
  • Elaine Ralph, Research and Information Assistant (0.5 WTE) 
  • Claire Riley, Research and Information Assistant (0.5 WTE) [currently on secondment] 
  • Avril Brown, Performance Unit Assistant (1 WTE)
  • Kirstie Fraser-Ashton, Administrative Assistant (0.27 WTE) [currently on maternity leave]        

 

Catherine is responsible for leading and directing the work of the team.  This includes liaising with local and national research and information organisations, such as the Social Care Institute for Excellence (SCIE), taking forward the Directorate's knowledge management vision, and co-ordinating local research governance arrangements.

Louise is responsible for responding to requests for research support, such as helping with questionnaire design and undertaking Internet/ literature searches.  She also project manages our annual service user experience survey.  Louise is currently on a part-time secondment to the NHS Information Centre for Health and Social Care.

Elaine is responsible for administering our current awareness service, EASI (Essential and Supporting Information), and administering the research governance process.

Claire is responsible for administering the EASI system, and maintaining the Cumbria Social Care Specialist Library Collection at Carlisle Public Library.  Claire is currently on a secondment to undertake an Occupational Therapy degree.  

Avril is responsible for supporting the work of the wider Performance Unit, including ensuring that the e-Library and Directorate website are kept up to date.

Kirstie provides administrative support to the team.  Kirstie is currently on maternity leave.
