Internet Searches on Adult Social Care Topics

If you answered yes to any of the above, then having examples of best practice, current guidance, research evidence, or just examples from other authorities can help you inform your practice and support you with decision-making.  Not to mention saving you time reinventing the wheel!

But we hear you cry ...

• I've got no time to spend searching the Internet, journals and books 
• Where is the best place to look? 
• How do I know what I do find is reliable?  

That's where the Knowledge Management Team can help you.  We will undertake Internet and literature searches on your behalf.  

Our searches cover government publications, journal articles, web sites, research databases, as well as internal sources, such as from our Outcomes and Evidence Library.  We can also filter the results, so that we only send you the most relevant and high quality information. 

If you work for Cumbria Adult Social Care and would like a search undertaking, please complete the Internet Search Request Form (available from the Knowledge Management Team) and email it to us.

We aim to complete search requests within 10 working days.

Unfortunately, at this stage, we are unable to undertake searches for external people, or for employees who are undertaking student projects.  However, we are happy to point you in the right direction and give you advice on how to construct an effective search.
