  • carers looking after any of the above.

Cumbria Care's experienced and dedicated employees run:

  • 31 residential homes for older people;
  • 3 residential units for people with learning disabilities providing residential care with and without board;
  • 24 supported living tenancies supporting people to maximise their independence and providing care;
  • 4 major day centres and a number of small local community day centres providing day care for older people;
  • a broad range of day services across Cumbria enabling people with learning disabilities, people with physical disabilities and people with mental health needs to maximise their life potential in the community; and
  • domiciliary care services that enable individuals and families of all ages to live in their own homes.

Cumbria Care's mission statement is: 'Delivering and improving the quality of care and the experience of customers using our services. Treating everyone with dignity.’  There is a statement of values that underpins its services.

Cumbria Care is a provider of care services operating alongside the wide range of independent providers of services in Cumbria.

People who think they may need care services should contact the social work teams in the council's Adult Social Care service and ask for an assessment of need.
