The links below provide more information about the Adult Social Care directorate's role and structure including the directorate's vision and mission statement and details of the directorate's management team.
Children's social care services are provided by our Children's Services directorate which also provides other children's services such as education and schools.
People interested in any social care services can find out more through Customer Services at local Cumbria County Council Adult Social Care offices. Customer Services can provide basic information about services and can arrange for people to see a member of our staff for an assessment of need.
The links to the right provide information about specific services we can arrange for people. Most services can only be provided following an assessment of need from a social worker or occupational therapist.
If the assessment finds that a person needs a service, our worker can arrange for the service to be provided or the individual needing the service could receive a direct payment to allow them to arrange their own services.
