Social Work

Social Workers are professionals doing a varied and worthwhile job focusing on improving people’s wellbeing. The day-to-day work can be extremely rewarding because you spend much of your work time helping vulnerable people to make crucial decisions and gain control of their lives.

They may be parents and children who are struggling in the face of deprivation, disability, or abusive behaviour; young adults who are finding it hard to handle the pressures of living independently; people with mental health problems; those with physical or learning disabilities; people with drug or alcohol problems; people suffering from HIV/AID’s; older people who need support or refugees and homeless people. It can be a satisfying job when you help people to make life-changing decisions.
