There’s a social care role to suit everyone, it doesn’t matter about a person’s background, how old they are, or their academic qualifications. The most important qualification for social care work is a genuine interest in people and the desire to enable them to get the most out of life
Many companies will offer supportive induction courses when you first start and in-work training will allow you to develop the skills you need.
If you have a family or other commitments, social care work offers plenty of part-time opportunities, with many employers able to structure hours around your availability.
So whether you’re looking for a career change, just starting out from school or college, returning to work after a career break retirement or looking for a second income - as long as you like working with people and truly feel like you want to care and support others, somewhere in our community there’ll be a position for you.
