Cumbria DAAT is the strategic partnership responsible for the delivery of the national drug strategy in Cumbria. This means that organisations agree together how to reduce drug related problems (see the membership list).
Cumbria DAAT does not provide services. Instead we plan and pay for local services using Government and local partner agencies resources (see the where to get help section).
During 2007/08 the DAAT will also lead the development of an alcohol strategy for Cumbria. This means that by March 2008, for the first time, there will be a clear plan of how to reduce the harm that alcohol causes in Cumbria.
Our mission statement is:
“We work through partnership to reduce the harm caused by drug and alcohol use. By doing so, we aim to produce safer and healthier communities”.
