Safeguarding Adults - What will happen if I raise concerns

If you raise concerns:

• Your concerns will be taken seriously
• The person’s safety will be ensured
• Contact with the Police will be made if there is reason to believe a crime has been committed
• Preliminary enquiries will commence to obtain further details
• The individual’s views and mental capacity, to make decisions relating to the subject, will be obtained
• A multi-disciplinary investigation will proceed if it is suspected the person is at risk of being abused or neglected
