Car Badges

Car badges for disabled drivers and passengers (sometimes called 'blue badges') are part of a national arrangement which allows badge holders to park close to their destination.  The national scheme only applies to on street parking.

The car badges are for people with severe walking difficulties who travel either as drivers or passengers, registered blind people and people with a severe disability in both arms, and are unable to operate all or some types of parking meters.

If you are a Cumbrian resident and would like to apply for a car badge, you can either contact your nearest Cumbria County Council Adult Social Care office and ask for an application pack, or you can download the contents of the application pack using the links provided.  The explanatory notes describe how to apply and what is required to do this.
