Residential Care - Where does residential care come from?
In Cumbria, there are residential homes run by:
- the independent sector - including private businesses and voluntary organisations; and
- Cumbria Care, who are part of Cumbria County Council.
All residential homes are registered and inspected by the Care Quality Commission. Lists of registered residential homes are available from the Care Quality Commission or Customer Services at your local Cumbria County Council Adult Social Care office.
