This reprint is taken from the Ordnance Survey one-inch map 48 as revised in 1896, centred around Ulverston and stretching west to Millom and east to Cartmel. On the reverse is a 25 inch plan of Cartmel from 1910 and includes a list of residents of Cartmel from a contemporary Kelly's Directory and an essay on the history of North Furness by Alan Crosby.
