Use of digital cameras in Cumbria Archive Centres: details of charges

Please note that there are charges for the use of all digital cameras for taking images of archives and printed sources in the searchroom. These charges were introduced in June 2007. They help generate the income we need to protect front line services. The charges are as follows (from 1 April 2012):

1 Day licence: £6
1 Week licence: £18
1 Month licence: £40
1 year licence:  £80
1 year licence (corporate users): £120

Please complete an application form, available from the Searchroom Enquiry Desk. The supply of digital camera licences is conditional on researchers completing a copyright declaration form and refraining from flash photography. The use of scanners is not permitted.

Images taken for commercial use, subject to necessary permissions been obtained, are supplied at £100 per image.
