Brand new service available to all those interested in Cumbrian Historical Research!
We are delighted to bring research into the past right into the 21st century with the introduction of on-line application forms and electronic payments for customers interested in using our Historical Research Service.
Our knowledgeable and experienced researchers will carry out work using the full range of archives, microform and reference books available in Cumbria Archive Service's Record Offices. They will then supply you with a detailed search report outlining their findings. Popular research requests are family history, property history and transcription services to help decipher old handwriting.
To use the Historical Research Service, please complete the on-line application form describing the subject of your research enquiry and have your credit or debit card to hand to make payment. Guidance Notes accompany the on-line form to help you with all stages of your application.
Because of the popularity of our research service, a detailed response to your enquiry may take several weeks, but please be assured that it will receive our usual high quality, professional attention at the earliest opportunity.
In order to use this facility your PC's browser software must support 128-bit encryption. If you are unsure what this means or how to check it please read our website security page.
