Policy

Our public sector policy context is no longer purely national and local.  The EU2020 Strategy (PDF <1mb) is a key overarching policy framework.  Cumbria public sector stakeholders will want to be aware of other EU policy that coincides with their service remit as part of their business environment-scanning.

All EU funding programmes seek to implement EU policy so demonstrating knowledge of these EU policy objectives for the specific funding programmes to a greater or lesser degree is sometimes a pre-requisite for successful application, implementation and project management.
