Business grants

There is a range of support and funding available to people wanting to start or develop their business in Cumbria. 

Depending on your location, type of business and what you need the funds for, you may be eligible for a number of grants and support. Grants are available through both local and national schemes.

Cumbria’s Regeneration Support Team supports the development of regeneration projects in the county. They can help you find and apply for regeneration funding.

Local grants include:

• Rural Development Programme for England (RDPE) (aimed at stimulating rural development)
• Community Regeneration Fund (for social enterprise initiatives)
