Farm flood debris recovery grant scheme

Closed to new applicants 26 February 2010.

The RDPE farm flood debris recovery grant scheme will provide funding to a maximum of £6,800 to any farm holdings directly affected by the flood waters of 18 - 20 November.

The grants will enable farmers to hire specialist equipment or contractors to remove household debris, such as fridges, vehicles and trees, which were washed onto their lands during the floods. The costs of the removal of gravel are eligible, however it can only be moved onto the edge of a field subject to the necessary consents from the Environmental Agency and Natural England.

Farmers interested in the scheme should:

  1. Refer to the Local Action Group map to ascertain whether your farm falls within an area managed by the Solway, Border and Eden or Fells and Dales Local Action Group.
  2. Post your application to the relevant Local Action Group.

If you have any questions or would like some assistance with your application then please contact your appropriate Local Action Group.
