James Rennie School is a Special School for 140 pupils with Severe and Profound Learning Difficulties aged between 3 and 19. We are a dynamic, caring school with a warm and friendly ethos, judged to be "Outstanding" by OFSTED 2011.

The Governors are seeking to appoint the following Teaching Assistants with effect from 1 September 2012.

3 PART-TIME TEACHING ASSISTANTS - PERMANENT POSTS
31.25 HOURS PER WEEK (Monday to Friday)
Single Status Pay Grade PCD2A plus JWC points, £17802 per annum pro rata.
Term Time only. (Pay review pending 1/10/12)

2 PART-TIME TEACHING ASSISTANTS - PERMANENT POSTS
12.5 HOURS PER WEEK (2 DAYS)
Single Status Pay Grade PCD2A plus JWC points, £17802 per annum pro rata.

2 PART-TIME TEACHING ASSISTANTS FOR 1 YEAR DUE TO INCREASE IN PUPIL NUMBERS
31.25 HOURS PER WEEK (Monday to Friday)

We are looking for caring, supportive and enthusiastic staff who will work with a range of age groups. You will be able to form positive and supportive relationships with children and adults, meet the needs of pupils with a high level of dependency and can demonstrate the ability to work as part of a team.

James Rennie School is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people and expects all staff and volunteers to share this commitment. Therefore, a full CRB check will be required for the successful candidate and other procedures and checks will be followed as laid out in our Safeguarding Policy. Two references will also be required, one of which must be work related.
