Directory of Consultancy Support:   this will remain at the front of the publication to reflect the growing requests for in-school CPD support.   The directory contains entries from all units who regularly provide schools with support.   Each entry provides the name of the provider unit, the type of support available, the contract details and charges where relevant.   The directory enables schools to secure ‘personalised’ consultancy support from providers within Children’s Services and beyond (see next page for further details).

Primary Programmes (Courses and Conferences):    here a range of conferences, courses and extended packages of support, are now brought together in one alphabetically organised section called CPD Core Programmes.   These events are designed to address key areas of school improvement, based on our best intelligence of current needs.   National Strategy support is included at the front of this section and shows dates, venues, booking and charging arrangements as appropriate.

Local Learning Network Programmes and Booking Arrangements:   this option provides a more localised and lower cost addition to the above.   It is delivered mainly as termly programmes of twilight opportunities.   See the LLN section for contact details.   The termly programmes will be sent separately to be added to this section of your CCPD file.

CCPD Programme Booking Arrangements:   arrangements have been simplified to one standard booking form, with a straightforward guide for its use.

CCPD Best Practice Tool Kit:   this section provides a range of tools for schools to use when developing their own CPD processes and procedures.   It is taken from best practice identified at national, regional and local levels.   It is available in full on www.cumbriagfl.org.uk (external link)    This section contains updated website and useful contact details together with wall posters of the Cumbria CPD Opportunities Frameworks.
