Schools and learning

Cumbria County Council provides a complete range of education services to nurseries and settings, maintained schools, Voluntary Aided school, Voluntary Controlled schools and Academies. Our work incorporates all aspects of education for life through the provision of early years education, schools and adult learning.

The Schools and Learning Assistant Directorate provides a range of statutory services and traded services in three main areas:

• Learning Improvement: standards and achievement 0-19, Governor Support.
• Inclusive Learning: SEND, Attendance, PRUs, Virtual school.
• Learning Support: Admissions and School Organisation; traded services, adult education.
