Members of the Governor Support Team have specific duties and responsibilities to support governors and Governing Bodies on a locality basis, as follows:  

The Governor Support Manager is responsible for the overall delivery of quality, county wide governor support services.

Governor Development Officers offer:

Support and advice to school governing bodies and individual governors 
Facilitation and consultancy services
Training sessions through the Governor Development Programme 

Governor Support Assistants offer:

Telephone support   
Preparation of training materials
Governor appointments and resignations
Instruments of Government 
Vetting and Barring Checks
