Governor Services - Recruitment of governors

Schools and Cumbria Children's Services continue to need the support of members of the local community - through the role of School Governor in contributing to the development of schools.

The work of the governing body covers three main roles – setting the aims, plans and priorities for schools; supporting and checking on the progress that has been agreed; and letting all those with an interest in the school know what has been achieved.   If you are interested in joining a pool of interested individuals who actively contribute to improving school governance, please complete the school governor application form and send it back to us.

Once you have become a governor we can work with you to develop your knowledge and skills through our support for new governors.
