14-19 Reform
The Cumbria 14-19 Strategic Partnership exists to secure access to a learning and achievement entitlement for all 13 to 19 year olds which inspires, raises aspirations and meets their individual needs, interests and aptitudes. It has this year been awarded ‘Beacon Status’ in the theme of Better Brighter Futures and is working with other authorities and government departments to support learning and improvement in 14-19 reform. Academies Investment in Cumbria
£100 million pounds is being invested by the Cumbria County Council Academies programme. The emphasis is on raising attainment in targeted areas that are in most need of urgent transformation. This will provide 21st century buildings and facilities for learning for children, young people and their families

Aiming High for Disabled Children
The Government has confirmed that Cumbria have met their criteria for receiving extra funding to deliver the transformation of short breaks over the next two years. Short breaks are regular, reliable breaks for disabled children and their families – such as a couple of hours in a sports club, a daytime break, an overnight stay, a holiday weekend.

Case Management Services
Improving outcomes for children and young people, so that every child achieves their potential, involves changes to culture and practice across the children's workforce. These new ways of working shift the focus from dealing with the consequences of difficulties in children's lives to early intervention and effective prevention.
Children At Risk
If you think a child you know is being harmed or at risk of being harmed, please contact your local Children’s Services Advice and Access Team who you can talk to about your concerns, and they will give you advice or may investigate the circumstances. All calls are treated in confidence and you need not give your details.

School Organisation
