Communities and Neighbourhoods End of Year 2 Report![]()
Update on progress April - June 2010 (30.06.2010);
Successful PB – Participatory budgeting workshops.
Over the last month 3 PB workshops have been held around the county to help officers, members and partners plan how to involve people in resource and budget decisions. Feedback from the events has led to planning more focussed PB sessions with Senior Management Groups and an aim to do some joint budget consultations for the County and Districts.
Participants left the sessions with aims such as:
“We could use this process for our grant fund allocations.”
“I can develop some budget and management decisions a group of users so they have control over the way things are done.”
“Further PB sessions will be held so please check the website for more information.”
Roll out of the new Consulation Finder and Engagement database.
From the 1st of June The County Council, the Districts, PCT and Police all went live with a new database tool to log consultation and engagement activity. The aim is to share activity and results to reduce duplication and provide a portal, as one way for the public to get feedback on the activities that have taken place.
All partners now have information on their websites and all new activity should also be logged. If you are interested please contact Tracey Moran – the project administrator who can let you know who is involved from your organisation and provide support if you want to make use of the system; Tracey.moran@cumbriacc.gov.uk or on 01768 812368.
