Residents who are supported by the county council’s Adult Social Care services are benefitting from a partnership between the council and Cumbria charity Prism Arts.
Cumbria County Council commissions Prism Arts to deliver a range of creative activities to disabled residents, older people and people with mental health difficulties.
Schemes funded by the council include The Starfish Theatre which creates arts projects for adults with learning disabilities.
The county council also works to match Prism arts with departments and services across the county council to enable the organisations to develop its work with the Public Sector and also with other commercial and voluntary sector organisations too.
The council continually works to support third sector arts organisations such as this, in order to improve access to arts and culture for Cumbrian residents.
