Organisational Development Directorate

The work of the Organisational Development Directorate is focussed on ensuring that all of our services, including partnerships, are as effective as they can be in terms of service delivery across Cumbria.

The directorate is responsible for range of services and areas of activity:

• Human Resources 
• ICT 
• Business Improvement and Management of Change
• Procurement and Strategic Commercial Partnerships  
• Information
• Leading on Shared Services initiatives
• CIEP (Cumbria Improvement and Efficiency Partnership

Areas that the Directorate focuses on include:

• Ensuring we have the right staff capacity and capability to provide service to the standards expected
• Looking forward with partners to plan and ensure we have the best configuration to meet future needs
• Making sure our staff are supported in every way needed so they can deliver the best they can by helping to provide business solutions
• Working to ensure that all services are accessible to all across Cumbria, in all respects
• Helping ensure we operate as a single, corporate organisation as a county council, and as a coherent public sector across Cumbria
• Providing leadership and change management
