Welcome

Our council plan sets out Cumbria County Council’s priority outcomes for the next three years and the values that underpin our work. It reflects what people have told us is important to them and what we need to do to improve the services we provide. 

The plan shapes the services that we deliver across Cumbria to people of all backgrounds. These services are what the public tell us that they value the most and that they trust the county council to make decisions about. 

The priority outcomes we want to achieve for groups of people or communities in Cumbria describe the end goal we will be working and directing our resources towards. It can take many years to get to the journey’s end – but this summary document will provide you with information about some of the things we will be doing to get us there and how we will know when we’ve got there.
