At 15:38 two fire engines from Carlisle and one from Wigton carried out the rescue of a dog in water from down a steep embankment using a ladder and Swiftwater Rescue equipment. Crews were on scene for approximately 2 hours.

At 17:57 hours on 13th October 2018, two fire engines from Penrith, one fire engine from Carlisle east and one fire engine from Appleby attended a rescue of a person in water incident in Cliburn Penrith. Fire crews rescued two people who were trapped in a vehicle in flood water using agricultural machinery. Crews were in attendance for one hour.

At 02:42 Four fire engines from Carlisle West, Brampton, Longtown and Gretna along with an aerial appliance and support pump from Carlisle East were mobilised to an outbuilding fire in Lane End Road, Irthington. Fire crews found three buildings to be well alight on arrival and used the aerial appliance as a water tower to extinguish the fire.

At 21:02 hours on the 10th of October 2018 two fire engines from Barrow and Ulverston were mobilised to Abbey Road, Dalton-in-Furness to reports of a road traffic collision. Firefighters found the incident to be involving two vehicles with one casualty trapped, who was extricated by fire service personnel using hydraulic cutting equipment, one hose reel and absorbent pads, before being handed to the care of ambulance crews. An additional casualty was also treated by paramedics at the scene. Crews were in attendance for approximately one hour.

This was a road traffic collision involving two vehicles with one casualty trapped. Fire crews extricated the casualty using hydraulic cutting equipment and a stabilisation kit and passed the casualty to the care of ambulance.
