At 11:54 firefighters were called to reports of a fire at a house on Corporation Road in Workington.
On arrival crews discovered that the fire involved a first floor bedroom.
Two firefighters wearing breathing apparatus used a hose reel jet to extinguish the fire.
A thermal imaging camera was then used to check for hotspots.
The crews were at the scene for nearly an hour-and-a-half.

On arrival crews discovered that all persons were accounted for and the small fire in the kitchen was out.

Firefighters were in attendance for around 15 minutes.

The fire then spread to three other cars and crews, two wearing breathing apparatus, used two hose reel jets and a thermal imaging camera to extinguish the fires. Crews were at the scene for an hour.
Police were also in attendance.

At 17:31 firefighters were called to reports of a collision involving a large commercial van on the A591 at Bothel in Wigton.
They used specialist cutting tools to free a trapped female from the vehicle.
A spinal board was also used and the casualty was handed over to the care of paramedics before being taken to hospital via Air Ambulance.
Firefighters were at the scene for around an hour-and-a-half.

They then used a thermal imaging camera to check for hotspots.
Firefighters were at the scene for around an hour and 15 minutes.

On arrival the crew found the chimney well alight. The team used a 9m ladder to reach the chimney, before removing the fire into open air and extinguishing it. The team were in attendance for approximately 30 minutes.

At 23:41 firefighters were called to reports of a road traffic collision in Aynam Road, Kendal. Two fire engines attended and found a single car had been in collision with a wall close to the river. Crews removed the door and extricated the driver before he was passed into the care of paramedics.

At 18:38 two fire engines from Carlisle East and Carlisle West fire stations were alerted to a two-vehicle traffic collision at Mossrigg, Carlisle.
Crews removed one patient from a vehicle after using two sets of hydraulic cutting gear to free them.
Firefighters were on the scene for just under an hour.

At around 02:30 three fire engines from the Kendal and Staveley fire stations were called to rescue a person from a river on Beezon Road in Kendal.
On arrival crews found a woman under a bridge in the river.
Firefighters used specialist equipment for working at height and a nine-metre ladder to rescue the woman, who was treated by paramedics at the scene.
Crews were in attendance for approximately 45 minutes.

On arrival the crew discovered that the fire in the open covered approximately 50 square metres.
Firefighters used water and beaters to extinguish the flames and were at the scene for just over 10 minutes.

On arrival the crews found the shed to be well alight.

At 19:44 firefighters from Workington and Whitehaven attended a special service call at the Prince of Wales dock in Workington. On arrival the team fond that a 57-year-old man had fallen down a hatch in a boat and injured his ankle. The crew used line rescue equipment and a stretcher to rescue the casualty; he was then airlifted to hospital. Crews were on scene for three hours.

At 22:45 firefighters from Silloth attended at tumble dryer fire at an address on the Crofts in Silloth. On arrival the crew found that the content of the tumble dryer was well alight. The team first removed the tumble dryer into the open air before using a water back pack to extinguish the fire.

One dog was rescued from the address and crews were in attendance for half an hour.

At 01:49 four fire engines from Appleby Penrith and Kirby Stephens and an aerial ladder platform from Carlisle east as well as several specialist appliances attended a fire involving a mid terraced property in the C3065 in Knock. The fire spread to the neighbouring properties and firefighters used two breathing apparatus, three hose reel jets and an aerial ladder platform to bring the fire under control. Crews then remained at the scene to dampen down the fire.

Crews used specialist cutting equipment to release two casualties trapped in vehicles.
The casualties were passed to the ambulance service.
Police are in attendance.
Firefighters were at the scene for around 40 minutes.
