This section gives a range of information about the population of the county of Cumbria, its districts, wards and parishes.  

The Population Summaries link below provides you with a range of spreadsheets containing population counts for Cumbria's districts, wards and parishes.  Comparisons are made to previous years.

The Population Briefings link below provides you with a range of useful reports and briefings which detail the changes in Cumbria's population.

A presentation is also available which brings together population trends over the last 25 years and projected populations through to 2029.  The presentation contains a number of slides that highlight the effects of an ageing population, both now and into the future.  It gives a comprehensive overview for Cumbria and each of its'districts, along with providing figures for the North West region and England & Wales.

If you choose to open the file, it will launch automatically into the presentation.  However, if you wish to view the commentary that we have added you will need to save the file, and then open it from within powerpoint.
