If you have a problem with a streetlight in your road, please contact the Cumbria Highways Hotline on 0845 609 6609 or you can report you problem online – use the link below. When reporting the fault, it is helpful if you can provide the following information: Location of the streetlight – road name or postcode, and the three number code that is displayed on each street lighting column. My road needs gritting, who do I contact? Our annual winter maintenance programme identifies which ‘priority’ roads in Cumbria are routinely gritted. This means that not all roads are routinely gritted. Also extreme weather conditions may mean that parts of the road network are not treated as normal. Our winter maintenance programme is aimed at ensuring that identified priority routes in and around Cumbria are pre-treated before 08:00 wherever possible.
