Olympics 2012

With two of the seven celebration events in the north west taking place in our county, this is a fantastic opportunity to get into the Olympic spirit. The Olympic torch will progress through the county and we are awaiting news of which Cumbrians have been selected for the relay. 

The Council Leader has talked about the Olympics being about inspiring people, particularly young people, to be the best they can be - and this is important in achieving the council's priorities.
