Summer Reading Challenge - Space Hop
If you have children aged between 4 and 12, you might already have heard of the Summer Reading Challenge, a great way to keep your child reading all through the summer holidays.
Cumbria Libaries have taken part in the Summer Reading Challenge for several years, and this year's theme is Space Hop.
The challenge runs from 10 July to 12 September, and children who join up will be asked to read six books over the holiday period.
There will be lots of great rewards and stickers to be given out as they progress through the challenge, and young readers who complete it will be awarded a special day-glo Space Hop wrist band, a certificate and a medal.
We did really well in last year's challenge, with over 6000 children taking part, and 56% completing. The children who took part really enjoyed it. Let's get Space Hopping and make this year's challenge the most successful yet!
All young people, from babies to teenagers are welcomed in Cumbria's libraries.
