Young Volunteers in Cumbria Libraries - Summer Reading Challenge 2010

Space Hop

The quest continues..........for the Summer Reading Challenge 2010, children will be invited to take a giant leap to the final frontier - space!

Fuelled by the success of TV shows such as Battlestar Gallactica, and the huge wave of interest in the 40th anniversary lunar landing in 2009, this year's Summer Reading Challenge will be Space Hop, an initiative to highlight books and reading for children via a cosmic travel theme.

Cumbria Libraries are again looking for young volunteers to share in this great scheme where you will be helping and encouraging the children to complete the challenge.

Are you between 14 and 25? Make a difference in your local community this Summer and share the joy of reading.

You can volunteer to help throughout Cumbria, as every library is looking for young volunteers.
