Summer Reading Challenge - Rucksack of Rhymes

We all know the story of the three bears but do you know where it originated from? Join us for a session of family fun as we explore the famous story first translated into English by Lake District writer Robert Southey. We will then have our own summer time Teddy Bear's picnic with songs, toys, poetry and crafts.  Come along to Maryport Library on Monday 7th August from 2-3pm and join in the fun.

 You can even bring your own teddy bear to join the party!

 This hour long session is suitable for children aged 6 months to 5 years. Please note all activities are free but booking is essential. To book a place telephone Maryport Library on 01900 812384.

Children under 8 years must be accompanied by an adult.

Summertime Travels and Treats with William Wordsworth

 William Wordsworth's old travel suitcase is one of our most prized possessions at Dove Cottage. Find out about where William used to travel and how the Wordsworth family spent their summers, by exploring some of William's writing and trying out our fun summertime crafts.  

Come along to the session on Monday 7th August from 3-4

Then come along to Maryport Library on the first Thursday of every month from 4-5pm.

The first session is on Thursday 7th September 2017 at 4pm.

Places are limited to 12 children - sign up with the library staff at Maryport Library if you are interested.



PCSO Drop-In at Maryport Library

Cumbria Police are committed to working with local residents to stop antisocial and criminal behaviour in your area.  A PCSO will be available every Wednesday from 10-12 in Maryport Library. The first drop-in will be on Wednesday 4th January 2017.

Please feel free to drop in and have a chat if you have any questions, concerns or problems.

Everyone welcome, please come along to Maryport Library and meet other breastfeeding mums and mums to be in a relaxed environment.
