Access Mobile

Cumbria Libraries : Bringing Information into the Community

Cumbria Library Service has a new vehicle – the Access Mobile – which has been specially designed to take library services and information out into the community. The Access mobile has been purpose built to negotiate some of Cumbria’s most rural areas, has seating for up to 10 adults, display space, power points, a canopy for outdoor use, full disabled access and some book stock on board.

Although the vehicle belongs to the Library Service, it is not only for library use. If you are part of Cumbria County Council, one of the district councils, or a charitable or not-for-profit organisation, then you can hire the vehicle free of charge* to take your information out into the community.

You could use the Access Mobile for:

• Special Promotions
• Events
• Exhibitions
• Adult Learning
• Children’s Activities
