Documents in this section describe the high level management and ambitions of the Council.  The Constitution sets out how the Council operates, how decisions are made and the procedures which are followed to ensure these are efficient, transparent and accountable to local people.  Some of these procedures are required by law while others are a matter for the Council to choose.  The Council Plan is a high level statement of intent setting out the ambition of the Authority for the forthcoming year(s).  This also focuses on the Council contributing to and facilitating with key partners to the Community Strategy for Cumbria as a whole.
