Community Activity
County Councillors and officers work in partnership with a number of agencies and residents groups including the Dalton Town Council and Dalton & Newton Parish Council.
The District of Dalton has been left with a legacy of many unmade roads which can only be adopted by Cumbria County Council when they have been upgraded to a satisfactory state. Councillors and officers work with groups of residents to aid and support them throughout the arduous task of gaining consensus and funding for the construction of their roads.
Forum Meetings
This Forum holds issue-based meetings in response to residents' issues/concerns. If there is no Forum meeting forthcoming, and an issue needs to be addressed urgently a Forum will be arranged to respond to such issue(s). Residents can contact their local County Councillor to discuss this.
The Local Committee Public Participation Slot from 10.00-10.45 allows residents to gather informally over refreshments to raise issues with the local County Councillors.
