Community Activity
County Councillors and officers work in partnership with a number of agencies and residents groups including Police, Highways, Barrow Borough Council.
Residents raise various issues and the Forum takes up these issues and directs them to the appropriate authority or agency with feedback being given to residents. The Forum is working in partnership with the Police to tackle the issue of traffic speed in an area of Newbarns.
Forum Meetings
This Forum holds issue-based meetings for both residents and partners/agencies. If there is no Forum meeting forthcoming, and an issue needs to be addressed urgently a Forum will be arranged to respond to such issue(s).
The Local Committee Public Participation Slot from 10.00-10.45 allows residents to gather informally over refreshments to raise issues with the local County Councillors.
