Community Grants

Community Funding is available for voluntary and non-profit-making groups who are involved in community and youth projects and initiatives.

Funding is organised on a geographical area, based on the County Councils’ 17 Electoral Divisions across the Carlisle area according to the total population in each area.

Two grant schemes are available for applicants to apply:

• The Community Initiatives Fund
• The 0 to 19 Youth Fund

Funding is intended to invest in communities to bring about a positive and lasting change for the benefit of the whole community.

We welcome funding applications from a variety of community groups including playgroups, playground committees, residents groups, sports groups, village halls, parish councils, youth clubs, heritage groups, environmental groups, arts groups, health groups and local charities.
