Resource Management Event for Schools

Today, Cumbria County Council's Local Education Service is holding a Resource Management Event for schools at Carlisle Racecourse. The event aims to help schools become better financial managers and buyers of goods and services while recognising their best value responsibilities. The event will also give the schools the opportunity to meet providers of various services to schools including business units within the County Council and Capita. Traders will exhibit a range of supplies throughout the day. 

School representatives will be able to attend various seminars and workshops focusing on bank account advice, how to apply for various grants, health and safety issues and an update on next years budget settlement. The event will also include a session on the strategic partnership with Capita and the specially brokered service for schools. 

Schools and Local Education Authorities from Newcastle, Sunderland, South Tyneside, Darlington and other parts of the North of England and South of Scotland will be attending the event.
