Cumbria County Council, in association with Crystal Publications, has produced an updated edition of the Cumbria Wedding Guide to provide clear and helpful information to couples wanting to marry in the area. The guide has been distributed to local register offices across the County. It provides details of register offices and other approved premises that make wonderful settings for wedding ceremonies. 

The guide lists the wide range of choices available for civil ceremonies and is packed full of helpful information and stunning photographs of possible wedding venues in the County. It gives advice on planning the wedding, legal issues and standard procedure as well as depicting the wonderful environment and natural beauty abundant in the County. Whether you dream of marrying in a stately home, a first class hotel, an historic building or want to tie the knot in one of the nine register offices situated all over the county, this guide covers all you would need to know, and more. It even offers information on flowers and photography - nothing is forgotten in this comprehensive guide. 

Many of the register offices and other premises are set in beautiful landscaped gardens and breathtaking natural scenery. Cumbria is a varied county, and can cater for every taste - country houses, beautiful hotels, national parks, even a museum are all possible sites for your wedding ceremony to take place.
