County Councillor Joan Stocker, Cabinet Spokesperson for Education says
The Longtown & Bewcastle Sure Start Programme has put together a wonderful programme of events to keep children and families entertained over the summer. One of Cumbria County Councils main priorities is to extend early years education and childcare services and this includes during holidays as well as term time. The Early Years Development and Childcare Partnership works in partnership with local parents to improve how services are delivered locally and this summer programme will enable children to learn and have fun with their parents at the same time during the holidays.
