16/10/03 - Public Information - Social Services Office Closure

Social Services Offices at Somerset House in Whitehaven, will be open for business as usual tomorrow.

The offices closed on Wednesday after the inspection of a damaged door led to a suspicion that asbestos material might have been in the building.  All the work needed to ensure the safety of staff and service users have now been completed and the building declared safe.
