09/01/04 - County Council Leader Lobbies North West Regional Assembly

Later today Rex Toft the Leader of Cumbria County Council will call on the North West Regional Assembly for additional support to protect the long-term prospects of the Cumbrian economy and to hold a Cumbrian Prosperity Priorities Summit.

Councillor Toft will raise his concerns during the meeting of the NWRA being held in Wigan today (11am to 1pm). The North West Regional Association meets at Wigan Investment Centre, Waterside drive, Wigan WN3 5BA.
