29/03/04 - World famous sports stars come to Cumbria conference

At 9.30am on Sunday 4thApril at Shap Wells Hotel, Cumbria Sport is holding its 2ndAnnual Cumbria Sport Coaches Conference.  International Cricketer Graham Gooch and Olympic medallist Mark Richardson are to speak at the Conference which is aimed at anybody with an interest in sport, including coaches, potential coaches, teachers, volunteers, administrators and players.

Other speakers include Paul McGee, a motivational speaker, Sarah Naylor from SAQTMInternational, David Haskins from the Youth Sport Trust and Julie Sparrow an Olympic physiotherapist.

Mark Drummond, Club & Coach Development Officer for Cumbria Sport says

“This conference has been organised to raise the profile of coaching in Cumbria and reflect the vital role played by coaches in the sporting arena”
