On Wednesday 31stMarch at 10am, Victoria Ashfield, Corporate Director for Education opens the new neighbourhood nursery at Newtown Primary School in Carlisle. The new nursery will enable the school to provide 32 new childcare places within the school.
The opening will include the unveiling of a plaque and a speech by Victoria Ashfield. Children from the nursery will also attend the opening. Refreshments will then be served.
Victoria Ashfield is looking forward to opening the new nursery. She says
“I am delighted to have been asked to open this new facility. Neighbourhood Nurseries are one of the Government’s major childcare initiatives which is managed in Cumbria by the Early Years Development & Childcare Partnership. This new facility will bring real benefits for all local parents trying to balance work and family commitments.

“This beautiful purpose built facility will enhance our capacity to be a resource for our community and this part of Carlisle.”
