17/05/04 - Calling all silver surfers

Carlisle Library is offering free half-hour internet taster sessions to the over 50s as part of national Silver Surfers Day. The sessions are aimed at people who have little or no experience of using computers or the internet.

Staff can give help and advice on:

• Setting up your own email address
• Using a search engine
• Websites for particular areas of interest such as holidays, family history, health, hobbies, shopping online etc.
