21/05/04 - Library closes for a day

Workington Library is taking the opportunity of a bank holiday weekend to close for a day on Saturday May 29 to enable minor work to be done. The work completes the refurbishment of the library at Vulcans Lane, which reopened in September after a major refit.

The library will reopen as usual at 9am on Wednesday, June 2, after the bank holiday Monday and Tuesday. Any fines or charges arising from the Saturday closure will be waived.

The nearest alternative is Moorclose Library, which is open on the Saturday from 9.30am to 1pm. Seaton Library will also be open between 10am and 12 noon.
