28/05/04 - The Morton School appoints new Head

The Governors at The Morton School have today appointed Heather Sargeson as the new headteacher for the School. Heather has previously been Deputy Head as well as Acting Head over the last couple of months.    

Victoria Ashfield, Corporate Director for Education says   

"Both the Governing Body and the Local Education Service are delighted that Heather Sargeson has been appointed as the new Head for the School. Heather knows the School and the pupils very well and is in a good position to take the school forward."   

Gordon Wallace, Chair of Governors says 

"Heather Sargeson was appointed following a competitive interview from a strong field of candidates. The Governing Body is delighted to have made this appointment and look forward to the school continuing to improve."
